I'll have to get a better look this weekend. It was pretty bright out in the first pic I posted though, and the screen still looked great. Oh, and as far as the screen in sunlight, I've been at the office all week, so I haven't really seen it in high-noon sunlight. Since the ebay live cashback thing seems to be dead now, I'd recommend checking an authorized Pioneer dealer if you're interested in one of these. I probably spent another $25 on the wiring harness, antenna adapter, and trim ring, though.ĭownside to getting that deal on ebay is that Pioneer won't honor the 1 year warranty because it wasn't bought from an authorized dealer.

If you wanted that capability you should have purchased the AVIC-F900BT. Ipod interface works pretty well, although I'm still trying to get used to the voice recognition commands. The AVIC-F700BT was not designed to play DVDs. There was some conflicting info about what harness and antenna adapter I needed, so I pulled the stock HU out before buying anything. This was my first time installing anything like this, but thanks to a lot of reading on this forum and the avic411 forums, I managed to get everything in with no major hangups. I just assumed an in-dash system would be more than I wanted to spend. I needed nav and a way to use an ipod, and my original plan was to just get a Garmin and an FM modulator. So far, everything is working great, and, of course, its light years beyond the stock single-disc radio that I had to endure. I installed a Pioneer Avic-F700BT, ipod adapter, XM tuner, and rearview camera in my 08.5 XE CC. This kind of thing may be old hat to alot of you guys, but I'm pretty pumped about it, so I thought I'd share.
